CULTURAL TOURS

Maasai Village Tour

Maasai Moja provides visitors with the most authentic Maasai cultural tour available. Our company has an exclusive opportunity to take you into the village of Monduli-Juu, where you will visit with a Maasai family whose traceable lineage spans over 2000 years. Dressed in authentic Maasai clothing, you will have a chance to live as this historic tribe does for an entire weekend. Whether you join the women to fetch water or milk the cows, or join the men for a lesson in throwing spears, you will have the chance to learn everything you want to know about their customs, rituals, and traditional medicines. The children will be eager for a football game in the afternoon, and the men and women will entrance you with their guttural songs, by a giant bonfire, through the evening.

Lake Eyasi Tour

Visit Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe people, a reclusive tribe of bushmen who live as they did 10 000 years ago. The Hadzabe are among the last hunter-gatherers of Africa. You will be fascinated by their clicking language and hunting techniques.

Cultural tours to numerous other regions, including visits with the Chagga tribe, can be arranged as well.
